The Community Square in the municipality of Fafe, Portugal is a large multi-purpose space where the Weekly Fair has been developed for many years.
With the rehabilitation of this space three fountains were built in order to make this urban space more dynamic.
The first fountain was built on the site of an old well, marking the most central area of the square, with a circular shape. This fountain has an upper bowl with a sprayer nozzle collector surrounding an old daughter-in-law, and a lower bowl where water from the upper bowl overflows with 14 vertical free-flowing jets.
The second fountain consists in two parallel rectangular water mirrors, each with 5 vertical free water nozzles in line.
The third fountain is a rectangular water mirror with small waterfalls between the various levels and 28 vertical free water nozzles in line.
